The Cuckoo's Calling II

Hello folks,
are you guys there?I feel very nice, almost exhilarated writing here,I do feel an invisible connection with you all, as if we are all together enjoying over a warm cup of coffee and chattering away amicably.Yesterday I was talking about J.K.Rowling's The Cuckoo's Calling and if you remember friends we were at the juncture where Mr. Strike takes the case from John Bristow about his sisters so called suicide.
Cormoran Strike himself is in intense emotional turmoil;recently got split from his longtime beautiful, seductive, rich and vengeful partner Charlotte. The Lula Landry case gives Strike his much needed "financial lifeline" and together with his temp Robin Ellacott he delves into the young troubled model's intricate world. With his keen penetrating intellect Strike carefully first goes thoroughly over the case from the police and media's coverage;from here it is evident how much sources Strike still had in order to acquire information related to the crime world. Then quite methodically he goes to the scene of crime;visits Kentigern Gardens with Robin (Lula fell to her death from her Mayfair balcony) and one by one he interviews John's adoptive sister,Lula's driver, Kieran Kolovas Jones, her residence's security guard, her neighbours (one of them Tansy Bestigui had heard her just before her death),her friend Rochelle, her uncle etc.It is noteworthy to mention that Bristow's younger brother was Strike's best pal and died of a cycle accident still as a child. Also Lula had an on -off relation with her boyfriend as well as a drug addiction problem. Trying to put together the pieces of the puzzle together Strike understands that there was a will concerned and the gorgeous model, who was worth millions, smelling foul play had made a will leaving her entire fortune to someone prior to her death. As more deaths follows complicating the quandary further, a cat and mouse game ensues between Srike and the killer.Strike discovers a narcissistic, despicable psychopath roaming free in his killing spree. The killer neglected as a child, is a perfect actor, shrewd and inhumane. Not only does Strike solve the Landry case but also discovers the shameful secrets of many a folks involved in the case; lies and deception are everywhere and everyone acts to merely save their one skins. We see a myriad of characters from rapper Deeby Macc to fashion designer Guy Some etc. This entire turmoil unhinges him and he comes face to face with the killer who tries to stab him to death. Cormoran is saved thanks to the agile Robin and the killers naked face is revealed by the authorities. Finally as Lula wanted her fortune is received by its rightful owner.
Friends I have not given away the vital datas of the story since then you will not find interest in reading the same. All I have tried to do is to share the main storyline which has delighted me and given me many a happy hours of good reading. But if you want I will certainly share more from the novel with you.
All I can say is that Cormoran Strike is here to stay,Rowling has once again cast her magic successfully on us and we certainly yearn for more. She has given us a very realistic insight into the glamour world. I am sure Sherlock Holmes, Hercule Poirot would welcome Cormoran Strike in their brotherhood!
Do tell me if you want to know something more about this woderful book.I will soon be back with Dan Brown's Inferno, Malcolm Gladwell's Blink and Ian mcEwan's Atonement. Till then my friends Goodbye and Happy Reading.
